My Golf R is approaching 8 years old in March and is under the All-In Service plan. Just wondering whether anybody has been successful in getting the creaking suspension issue fixed under warranty?
-
I complained about this at my last service just before my all-in plan expired. Their response was that it was wear and tear and is not covered by the warranty.

Thanks, yeah that's what I thought.

It's still worth asking as numerous tpis have been issued about front suspension creaking.

Had the same creaking noises and got the same “wear & tear get lost” response from VW. Also, read somewhere on Reddit that the creaking comes back even after warranty replacements.
Someone on Reddit also recommended drowning the front control arm bushings using a silicone lubricant spray, and it worked! It’s been a few weeks and I can finally go over speed bumps without that annoying creaking.
Quite simple to apply and you don’t even need to take the wheel off. Simply get yourself a Silicone lubricant, I used WD40 (https://images.app.goo.gl/TMgq16HhcNAseaE97 (https://images.app.goo.gl/TMgq16HhcNAseaE97)) and literally drown your bushings from every angle. Take it for a drive to let it soak in and you should notice the suspension doesn’t creak anymore.
That being said, this is likely something you’ll need to do once every 6-12 months and also depends on the condition of your bushings. Hope this helps!
P.s. Managed to find the link to the Reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/GolfGTI/comments/8tsc8x/for_anyone_with_a_mk7_and_a_creaky_front/ (https://www.reddit.com/r/GolfGTI/comments/8tsc8x/for_anyone_with_a_mk7_and_a_creaky_front/)

Ah, that's amazing. Thanks for this. I'll give this is a go.

Try your dealer this is a known problem they always try and fob you off with the wear and tear line first.
If not try another dealer

Got under the car this weekend and soaked the bushes with Flomasta silicone spray from Screwfix. Took it for a run afterwards over some pretty aggressive speed bumps and it's now totally silent. If I have to do it every few months I won't mind as the spray is cheap and it doesn't take long to do. Thanks for the tip!
