Had my 2017 Clubsport S for a couple of months now and have been annoyed by a revs / road surface related buzz coming from what I thought was the passenger A pillar speaker. But on sitting in the passenger seat it was obviously coming from the passenger side of the centre console. And I finally tracked it down to the plastic cover over the rear fixing of the console - only evident on moving the seat fully forward. The driver's side sits tightly in the hole, but the passenger one was obviously loose on tapping. Removed and car silent now.

a) remind us all that noises can seem to come from somewhere completely different from the real source
b) it may help someone else being driven mad by something so silly

A picture of the offending area and solution would definitely be useful if poss?
Agree 100% with point a.

It was the plastic covering that sits in this hole to access the screws holding the rear of the console on. I just removed mine as the seats hide it when pushed back, but you could bed it in a bit of silicone sealant to stop it buzzing (but still be able to remove it if required). Can't believe how much noise it made...

This seems to be specific to 3 door models.
