will a golf mk1 steering wheel boss fit on a 1992 golf mk2??

not sure but don't think so. the mk2 spline changed around '88 i think to a fatter one. i believe there is an extra, larger, part of the spline that can be pulled off to get back to the smaller sized spline. but not sure if thats the same as a mk1 fitment though.

only on pre88 89 onwards had a larger one not the smaller type with the boss to make it bigger.

that lager spline is an absolute b!tch to get off i had to buy a brand new momo boss for my j plate cos it wouldnt come off!
