Title: front washer jet not working
Post by: golfDB on 18 July 2024, 10:39
Having problems with windscreen washer jets on driver side.  Have tried a fine pin into the nozzle but can’t seem to get very far.  It’s not like the definte hole on an older car where you could get a pin or needle.   I notice under the bonnet is the spray unit. How do you remove this from the underside of the bonnet? Is there a screw in the hole on the photo? Photo attached.  thanks

Is there any washer fluid under the bonnet as the pipes do split and will cause this also.

Just a quick update.  Managed to get into the washer unit, popped off the electrical lead and water hose and cleaned out the nozzle with vinegar.  It works much better now.  I expect it was water scale build up.

Thanks for assistance, much appreciated.

I am so OCD I only ever use the VW screen wash for fan jet washers.

Smells good too.

Not cheap though.
