Title: Hello from alland, new member

Hi, fellow GTI enthusiasts! I am a new (and probably your oldest) member, but despite my years have loads of GTI ownership behind me, having owned every Mark except the 4 and 7 - had other toys then! I now have a new (ex-demo) Mk8 GTI which I am delighted with; am I the only member who has had no trouble whatsoever with the infotainment system or the haptic buttons which the motoring journalists cannot seem to master? My favourite model was the 1991 Mk 2 16-V in Oak Green metallic (see pic); that should have been a keeper.

Welcome alland  :smiley: from someone who has owned an example of every generation including the mk4 and mk7 😁
Like yourself, I’ve not had any issues with the interior so wouldn’t ever qualify as a YouTuber and indeed when I get into other cars now with buttons and sliders they look over fussy to me!
