Title: Res delete
Post by: SuperScaff on 28 June 2024, 18:37
Evening guys   I’m very tempted to try the res delete mod I’m looking for recommendations in what to purchase please? I’ve been eyeing up the Ecs pipe also the rpm anti drone on eBay anybody have any experience with either? And does the mod cause a cel to come on?

a Res delete shouldn't throw a light as its only a center box. You can buy a "non-res" pipe onto a Catback system or pop to your local exhaust place and they can remove your center box and replace it with a pipe if they are anygood.

Will be far cheaper.

Thanks buddy, I’ve seen numerous different pipes on eBay I’m just wondering if they are all pretty much one in the same also if the mod is worth doing as I don’t really want the car to sound raspy just looking for a deeper/slightly louder tone. I’ve read about the club sport rear box being a better option so considering that route too

Be careful buying the cheap ebay pipes, whilst they seem a good deal, they are often made of very cheap grade metal.
You want to ensure that the grade of steel used is ideally 304 grade.

The below pic should explain it for you.

I've got the RPM non anti drone on mine GTI, fitted perfectly and give a much better noise than stock. Not droney at all motorway speeds.
