Title: MK8 GTi some issues heating/loss of power etc help needed
Post by: BingVW on 18 June 2024, 15:03
Hi all,

Soooo I've had the new GTi since November and it's been amazing to drive we've done about 8K miles in it since delivery. The car over the last 10 days seems to have developed some issues these are:-

Change in brake pedal feel, the peddle seems to a softer then normal
Loss in pick-up from 3k revs upwards
Warm air blowing air from vents, even if heating is turned off

Any ideas on what can be causing these?

Thanks

Sounds like 3 different problems to me.

Brakes sounds like brake system problems (fluid, pads or whatever)
Engine pick up is probably some sort of sensor problem somewhere
Aircon is probably also something weird sensor wise

Have you scanned it with a diag tool?

Any which way, it sounds like it needs to go back to the dealer...

Just take it to dealer warranty should start all 3 issues.

I can't need new brakes at 8K miles, my wife is the main driver and she drives it sloooooowwwwww and in economy mode
