Hi guys,
First post so sorry it’s straight to asking for help.
I have a 2016GTI PP with 72k miles.
I’ve noticed over the last few weeks a sort of metallic sound at the front of the car when I accelerate at anything more than a potter.
Doesn’t happen when you rev the car at idle so only happens when there is load on the engine. I was worried it was my compressor wheel touching the housing but I’ve checked the turbo and it all appears to be fine.
The car runs and drives fine but my warranty ends in August so if it’s something on its way out I’d rather get it sorted now while it’s free
I’ve done a short video which you can just about hear it and any help would be very much appreciated.

Can't hear it on the video but check the heat shields as thy can work loose and rattle.

I can't really hear anything either metallic. Do you have any mods?

Sorry guys, I think Youtube compresses the video which takes some of the sound away. I've popped the video into my One Drive if you don't mind taking a look.

No mods at the moment until the warranty runs out.
To be honest it could be a heat shield touching when accelerating possibly..
Which heat shields are usually the main culprits?

Above back box…. will be obvious if it is.

My sisters GTi had this, slam the boot made it rattle.

As said above back box and behind the down pipe, tap them and if they are loose you will know (obviously let car cool down completely at it says hot by the CAT). Held on with Insta-Rust spider clips. If under Warranty tell the dealer to cover your back if you don't find anything.
