Title: How to fix a gti spoiler to a non gti car
Post by: derv on 23 October 2005, 09:25
Just picked up a genuine g3 gti spoiler off ebay, how the hell do you fix it to the car? i dont want to go down the route of getting the glass drilled so would it be ok to bond it to the glass with tigerseal or something simmilar? i dont want it falling  off and i dont want crap running down the back window when it rains either!

i think you can get away with bonding it on.... failing that get a drilled window out of a scrap yard and swap them over.

Go for it, done it on my mk3 and tigerseal has been fine for the last 6 months and no signs of comming off. i'd used tiger seal as i know it works but i think anything similar based products are sikaflex. had to keep it down with bricks for the night though

swapping the glass is the best plan. it's easy to do.
