Title: Egin Chip Insuarance prices..??
Post by: Flipmode on 22 October 2005, 21:11
hello all,

having given this lots consideration recently, am thinking of gettin my 1.8T chipped probably early next year, and was just wondering what effect this is likely to have on my insurance premium.  As u all know the bhp will shift from 150 to around the 200 mark. I'm currently paying £540 full comp now, and wondered how much extra i should expect to pay after the power increase, i have been told about an extra £200-250 on my insurance premium...does this sound realistic????  many thanks for your thoughts.

thanks mate, i would be hoping for something similar to that, i already declared wheels and exhaust to sainsbury's who wouldn't touch me any more, now I'm with Adrian flux who are regarded as specialists, i will be 26 with full ncb and if it was £230 I'd pay that. Fingers crossed then.
