ive only had the car 3 months and my list is getting there, in about 2 weeks nearly all the cooling system will have been replaced :S

Now got in standard 1.8 in, dropped rod on number one cyl demolished block and head on engine above 3 weeks ago. In process of building 2.0lt block new ported bvh done and built with 276 cam, but changing to 268 cam. Lightened flywheel on way. Hopefully to have quaife diff by next year summer.

I never get people who build performance cars and treat them like babies :cry: There built to be driven hard, very hard poss why my engine blew up. :wink: Just build another and start again i say.

replaced a brake sensor so the damn abs warning light would stay off and also replaced a breather hose.

Next year it will be a DIY BBS refurb. Full interior overhaul and a respray. Every brake line and possibly a brand new engine from VW.

Well in the last 12 months i have had 4 golfs so it would take me a while to explain all of them! but the one i have now, (had it since september), my helios blue mark 2 16 valver - i have just lowered it 55 mm, and put a single light de-badged grill and crystal clear head lights. oh and put my stereo from in my other golf (one of them) in my valver. I keep meaning to get pictures up on here, must do it soon!!

4 new sets of wheels - had 17s on when I bought it, changed these for VW Teardrop 14s (very corroded air leaking all over the place), then a set of Driver steelies, now got 14" PSlots on.......
Plugs, HT leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm
Renewed 2 corroded earth straps
Engine tune-up (ignition timing adjusted)
Jetex performance air filter
Renewed centre box on Scorpion system (then had it re-sealed about 4 times cos it kept blowing)

Front wheel bearing (done at Premier Northampton, gone again 2 months later (!!) so on the to do list

In the past 12months,
changed from Mk2 Polo to Mk4 Polo.
Planned for next 12months
Wait for other half to pass test, then change for a Mk2 Golf GTI ;) .......... I hope.

80k mile service
new rear wheel bearings, discs and pads
16" bbs rxII anniversary wheels
4 Toyo poxy tyres - fronts replaced after 4 months and 6k miles! (lots of grip though)
Wheel alignment check and adjustment!
Set of BBS solitudes while RXIIs get refurbished - sometime before next summer probably. (maybe)
rust spots on rear panel and bottom of front doors sorted grill resprayed to get rid of stone chips.
New wing mirror motor, ignition switch and barrel, new locks all round and new keys (thank god for warranties!)
90k mile service
new rear axle bushes, shock absorbers and bump stops
Air con service
about 60 tanks of petrol!!!!!!!
and i've washed it two or three times this year.

as for my vw, my mum is using it more than me atm and she says its crap! :angry: i like my car... hee car is crap and don't work, damned hondas!!! she wanted a mk4 golf, but dad won't let her have the diesel!

The diesels are mint, prob better than the petrols (excluding the 1.8 turbo)!!

ok guys, off to a local scrappy today (cos wwe found out the guy has 6 mk golfs, and when my bro went in for a few bits he paid £1 for 3 items including a leather gear gaitor) so im off to see if i can get two rear doors (as mine have a dent in that won't come out from before i had it) and possibly big bumpers... wish me luck... :cool:

waited 5 months for pistons from je,
new wheels,

sorted the arches to get wheels on,

had it mapped,
oh and put faw too much fuel in it :sad:
next is bigger injectors and winter wheels.

after waiting an hour and 40 mins for the rac to pick me up, stood at the side of the road with the car stopped in a layby wearing nothing mroe than a t-shirt, black shrug and a fleece banket i swore at my car andtold it i didn't like it any more, and thats after a new rotor arm n dizzie cap, 2 new doors and a set of big bumpers, and a full tank of petrol! my car is no longer working :angry: and i lovevd my car!!!

^^ sorry to hear that han, if it makes you feel any better i just ragged around in my car....... went through some twisty's....blatted round some roundabouts......wound windows down and blasted through some tunnels....
