Anyone else see Racinglines new remap options, what are your thoughts?

I was really excited about that until I’d seen it limited to Windows laptop users.
-
I was the same, I'd be tempted to partition my Mac to run VCDs but until my old windows laptop breaks I'm not willing to.
Been tempted to ask in work about buying an old laptop after it's been handed back.
I do like the option of being able to remove / add the Racingline software as and when, given the power they quote I'd assume it's a very similar map to a Revo, if not a Revo map rebranded like a lot of their stuff.
-
Yeah I'd be tempted to try and pick up a fairly cheap Surface tablet and keyboard tbh but it does just add to the expense and I assume given that the price isn't mentioned anywhere it's probably not going to be cheap anyway.
I do like the sound of their maps though I must say, I'd love to be able to try the TCU map. I've never had one done before so would be good to do some comparisons.
I wish more companies were able to offer the DSG 'farts' for the 7 speed as I do think it lacks a bit of character tbh.
-
Elsewhere it's £198 but I don't know if that's just for the PDM tool and then you buy the software on top? If it was £198 including the software for one car it'd be very good value, but it's Racingline so I'd guess the software is extra...
The Racingline R600 and turbo elbow gave it enough character for me personally, but I don't particularly like the DSG 'farts'.
-
Yeah I would assume software will be an additional charge but I would imagine it's slightly reduced, or at least reduced when bought together. I'd hope so at least.
I do like the look of the R600 but I just can't justify the cost for it, maybe if I can find a good second hand one I'll give it a go.

Yeah it states on there:
"You’ll need to purchase the PDM Flashing Tool and Cable from a RacingLine Authorised Dealer. Now you have the tool, you will then need to buy the Performance Software itself, in the form of a Digital Access Key for your car.".
Fingers crossed the Digital Access Key is cheaper than the software currently is, as there's then no work required from RacingLine to install on your car...
This section is also very interesting:
"Friends and family interested? Once you have purchased your PDM unit, as it isn’t tied to a specific vehicle VIN, you can then use the tool as many times as you like, on as many different cars as you wish.
Simply get back in touch with your RacingLine Software Dealer, purchase the Performance Software Digital Access Key for the next car, and as soon as it’s authorised you’ll be able to flash that vehicle, plus any previously flashed ones, in exactly the same way via the PDM system.".
Wonder if we could crowd fund one on here or something..?
