Thanks Carlos.  My 2021 Clubby will have to go in for this.

Hopefully they can check/sort while I wait.

I’ve literally just had a letter in the post this morning from VW regarding this very recall and to contact my nearest VW repairer to get the car booked in.

Who’d have thought VW would be this organised 🤔

Many thanks for the heads-up. After checking the GOV.UK website, it does list my GTI as recall outstanding.
Just by chance, its booked in on the 1st Feb due to the SOS call light deciding to prove its there by never go off for the last week!
The dealer never mentioned this and once again its down to owners/Forum members to bring it to their attention.
As per......

Ah yes i wondered what they were banging on about when mine went in for its service, mine was done/looked at no issues - pretty pain free

I hear the remedial action is to remove and retain the newly issued replacement engine covers.

Got my letter, booked it in, next available appointment in end of March. LOL. Wonder what my insurance would say if it burns down between now and the appointment.

They word these letters like they’re doing me a favour.  Got  to go now drive my car to a dealership and hang around for half an hour while they book it in, get a courtesy car then go to work.  Then do it all again after work.

No offer to compensate for the inconvenience yet again.  It was only in the dealership in December and then January for warranty work on the steering wheel and battery.

And don't forget the £20 they charge you for the courtesy car's insurance as well Colh.

The more recalls they have the better it is for them.
