i'm having problems with the headlining on my mk2 16v.it's started to drop down and i have tried sticking it back up with glue i was given by a coachtrimmer but it's still doesen't do the job.i'm thinking of changing the whole lining but i don't know if this is easy or a difficult job to do.has anybody tried this before?

only done it in a corrado after i'd re-trimmed it in a sweet grey leather! went up easy as pie so i don't see why a golf should be much harder. they are quite fragile though so be gentle with it. what sort of glue was it you used? most impact adhesives will do the trick. spread a bit on both sides, let it go off then stick together.

can't remember the name of the glue.it was a spray on one though.

That spray glue is for carpet. Use impact glue as such as timebond (B&Q). Re-trimming is a 50/50 thing, all depends on the quality of the headling ie who made it up for you.
