Hello Golf Gurus! Noticed this after I'd collected my Mk7.5 in June. The illumination on one of the treadplates isn't consistant along the whole length, looks like only four LEDs are working. That said, the whole length does still illuminate at night. Thankfully it's the passenger side so I don't see it often, hence taking four months to make a post...
Anyone know if this is something I can fix myself, or is it a job for VW?

I'd try and buy the whole sill as a part from a breakers.
Googling around replacing the LED bit is a ball ache...

I had my drivers side one of those die completely early this year, had it replaced under warranty.

Thanks both!

Good move getting it under warranty, will have to check if mine would cover it as I didn't buy from VW. Car only had 25k miles when I bought it, so pretty poor to have gone at that milage!

Good shout if the warranty is unsuccessful...
