Title: MY2013 Mk7 GTD Parts
Post by: k1llah3rtz on 11 October 2023, 21:40
Hi all,

Have just become the proud owner of 2014 plated GTD and besides the fuel economy am loving it however, at some point someone clearly opened the boot in hurry or high wind and caused the spoiler to crack right where the hinge is … can anyone recommend somewhere where I can get a replacement, VW are quoting me £400 to replace it, primed not painted …

Thanks in advance,
Al

Its going to be tricky because red fades really badly.

If you get one from a scrappy it likely won't match.

Equally if you get a new one sprayed up with the correct VW paint colour, it equally won't match.

I love red on a Golf but its a bit of a biatch

A good quality paint shop can match the current (faded?) colour using a spectrophotometer to scan existing paint. Not sure of costs of getting the mix right though.
