Title: Black style design pack

Just curious:

Does anyone else has the 'black style' design pack where the red stripe on the front is replaced with a black - not really visible - stripe? Seems like every mk8 GTI has the red stripe instead of the black one. Maybe this is a country specific option :)

It’s never been offered in the UK where most of our members are based. Irish Republic cars get more available options such as this.

Yep it’s available here in Ireland and costs somewhere between 450-500 euro as far as I remember. All you get for that money is the black (as you say almost invisible) stripe and black mirror caps. Very very expensive imo, considering I got a pair of black mirror caps on AliExpress for about €40! I’m not sure I’m a fan of deleting the red stripe either. Maybe on the R it makes more sense, as the blue stripe is a bit naff imo and the black definitely works better on the R.

It's ridiculous indeed, but I can't say I'm unhappy with it  :grin:
