After getting out of my car I looked down and found this part laying on the floor.
It's a little rubber bumper with a part number of 1K8837529.
All diagrams on the internet say it's supposed to be somewhere on the door frame but I'm struggling to see exactly where.... I can't see one on the other front door but it seems it could also be from the rear doors.
If I don't have any it could be that they've all come off!
Any ideas.... I guess they must do some thing?

Just looked at front and rear doors - can’t see anything like that?
-
Please excuse the dirt but it's on the hinge.

That part number seems to relate to MK 5 Golf and is a small buffer fitted to the bottom of the inner door frame nearest the B pillar.
Just had a look at my MK7 and there's nothing like that on mine, 3 door.
Unless yours is a 5 door and they're different??
Or it has fallen from someone else's car and you've parked over it and assumed its fell off yours??

Saw those but they look smaller than the part in question?

Could be it?

Yes it looks like the photo above - ok it could be from a MK5 as that was my last car but I haven't had that for 3 1/2 years now and the rubber is in pristine condition.
My son has a 9N Polo GTi... maybe off of that???
Very odd although I'm always having to sweep up debris off my drive.

Is this a new Sunday Night Gameshow for the forum, guess this part?

Just as a heads-up while I was looking I noticed that there is a small cross-head screw in the upper door opening where I guess you might attach the mount for a roof-rack which was on the verge of falling out.
Only seems to be on the front-doors but the passenger one was the same.... just used my thumb to twist it back tight.

Listed to fit 2010 - 2018 Polo too so could be.

There are little black bungs that cover the roof rack mounts inside of the front doors... which you have to remove to use the roof rack mounts.
On the rears its different... no bungs, just a dimple to show you where the mounts go.
Didn't think the black bungs looked like the one you showed tho?
