The following performance Golf derivatives will be closing for orders on Wednesday 10 May:
Golf R “20 years” special edition
The highly successful Golf R “20 Years” special edition will close for orders from 10 May.
Any customer orders for the Golf R “20 Years” need to be actioned and placed on factory order by the close of business Tuesday 9 May.
Any orders in the order bank will continue to be built.
Golf GTD
Golf GTD will be closed for orders from 10 May, allowing us to build through the current order bank.
The current order bank is not affected.
Golf R
Golf R (hatch only) will close for orders from 10 May for all order types. The last day of ordering for all other order types will be close of business 9 May.

So the Manual GTI and Clubsport are currently closed for order per the UK configurator, the R20 is permanently closing and the GTD and R are also now pausing meaning you can only order an auto GTI or GTE. Hard to believe there has now been production issues for 3 years and no sign of normalisation.
Is just a UK issue?

Did they just close the orders on the R20 but just announce the exact same car but rebadged as the 333??
