Finally got around to booking the car in for some diagnostics.
Heated steering wheel has been coming on to setting 2 every time the car was started and wouldn't 'set' using the instructions in the manual and now the weather is getting warmer its a problem.
Also getting the dash lighting up like a Christmas tree and bonging away for the first 5 mins of every trip including SoS, Front Assist, Travel assist etc.
They suggested this sort of thing could all be related and need a replacement steering wheel  as its up to date on all recall updates.
At least I'll get a shot of one of their electric dodgems while its in for a couple of days

Replacement steering wheel seems to be the dealer “fix” for the travel and SOS assist.
I find it odd, mine never did it at all for 6 months of ownership and 13000 miles but now it bongs like mad at times whilst being bong-free at other times. I’ve noticed what kicks it off is parking and going to full lock which implies ( to me ) it’s wiring related and not software.
I’m at the dealer in an hour with my R as the service light has come on, even though it’s only 4000 miles / 9 months since it was last done..
Issue at full lock suggest wires being pulled under tension at full lock causing a fault. Someone on the Cupra Born forum had this happen to them and it was confirmed that poorly routed wiring was being tugged at or near full lock.

Interesting yours started around the 13k mark. Mine was probably similar. I'm at nearly 16k now, serviced in July with software update to fix a previous SOS issue and was fine for a few months.

Mine didn't do it until 1896... Prior to that it had different issues...
Yes I agree it seems related to full lock, but how that's been caused by software I don't understand

all the bongs and beeps disappeared entirely when I got rid of the car ;-)

Hi,
Has anyone had "Dynamic Cornering Light Error"? I took mine to VW in Reading to have the error rectified. They do not have the right "matrix calibration" equipment so couldn't fix the issue.
I think this is pretty unacceptable as I now have to try and find where I can get it fixed.

Shouldn't every VW dealer be able to service or repair anything that could go wrong and have the relevant equipment to do so!? I find that pretty bad if ghan can only fix certain issues because they dont hVe gb kit.

I was having the issues with the bongs and error messages re Travel assist etc but got my steering wheel replaced then, around this time last year and it’s been fine ever since until recently I have noticed an uptick on bongs again although it dosent happen in every drive.
One odd issue I had yesterday was that the haptic buttons on the left hand side of the steering wheel seemed frozen and I couldnt adjust volume or use ACC etc. Nothing happened if you were pressing them and they just felt hard. Tried this morning and they seem fine. Anyone experience this before?
