Title: 18" alloys option for silver white
Post by: Borvad on 21 March 2023, 19:48
Got her cpl of weeks ago and the dealer was nice enough to put 4 new Falken tyres on her.
I'm undecided on the alloys she has come with though so looking to see what other styles of alloys others have, I like silver, or silver polished so black isnt an option for me.

Thanks, in advance.

Saw that for sale from GTI world a while ago and thought it was very nice. I refurbished my old alloys to BMW Shadow Chrome, a bit darker than what's on it now.

In my opinion silver or polished silver would look pretty awful as it's too many bright colours, and you need something to contrast and compliment.

I’d get them refurbished in anthracite grey or smoked chrome.

Unless you’re going to go darker, I’d stick with what you’ve got, they look ok.

Pretorias?

Pretorias?

It’d be much more cost effective to get your existing alloys refurbished than it would be to buy a new set of genuine VW 18” Pretorias. A new set of 18” Pretoria alloys would cost you £1,500 or more.

A top quality refurbishment of your existing alloys in a colour of your choice would be likely to cost in the region of £500 - £600 (incl VAT) in total.

-1 on SRGTD's advice if you're looking at changing the wheels, which is how I read the OP!

The OP has been modified so could be why we all read it initially as a different colour.

Satin Black if getting new wheels and in 19 inch form

Those wheels look better than standard. Love them...
