This is the price of a golf R at home here in Ireland. Absolute madness
-
At those prices VW need a rebrand from 'The Peoples Car', I think.
Kaiser Wagen, anyone?

Could have a RS3 with a few options for the same money!
Never thought my Clubsport would look like it was a bargain. Prices have gone absolutely mental here in the past 18 months.

Obviously the higher polluting combustion engines are heavily taxed here but when I was looking around I saw that an id5 GTX was €80k. Sure there’s Golf R lines floating around for €47k or so. All prices are gone mad.
The funny thing about the MK8 R is that there are high spec examples appearing all the time, and often high spec, I’ve seen a good few with Akra popping up wheras I don’t think I ever saw a MK7 here with Akra.
