Title: No sound from infotainment

Since Friday I’ve had no sound from the infotainment. The slider doesn’t even show up on the screen. Also no parking sensors front and rear . I’ve done a reset by holding down the power button on the infotainment until the VW logo comes up but still no joy. Anyone else got any ideas? Can’t get in to local dealers until 22 feb

I've never had it last beyond a proper engine off half hour wait.... it does happen though from time to time.

I’ve left it for 12 hours at a time and still nothing  :cry:

Is it all sounds that have gone? So, for example, even the 'swish' you get when swiping left or right through the drop-down screen....or the infotainment / 'button' touch-tone sounds?

Have you tried a factory reset of the infotainment unit?

My car did it for the first time this morning but only until I turned it off, then chose a radio station manually from the list, the sound returned and it has functioned properly since with several start stops and no revisit to the menus. Fingers crossed. 🤞
