Hi all,
I currently use Apple CarPlay by connecting my iPhone to my Golf TCR via a USB cable.
Can anyone suggest or recommend a way to connect my phone wirelessly, if possible?
Many thanks

If you decide to stick with wired, I would recommend d-docks as a great (albeit pricy) alternative to the loose cable. It fits into the bin and you just slide your phone in.
I looked at the wireless options (as I have wireless in another car) but they had mixed reviews so I didn’t go ahead (although the one fredgroves has linked above does look good!)

With the wireless offerings, do you still have to press to select android auto Vs Miracast?

I don't think so - I think with the wireless gizmo its just like the Mk8 where soon as you start the car it starts up and if you have music playing, it continues where you left off...

Thanks Fred. Looks like I will need to do some research to find one that works well, at a reasonable price.

Thanks Andy. Nice to know about that option, but I think I would like to find one of the cordless systems that works. Any suggestions being used by forum members, much appreciated. Chas 👍

You could order one from Amazon and send it back if it doesn't cut the mustard.

No worries at all Chas and I don't blame you for going down the wireless route. Hope you find something

In the VW owners manual it says something like for best audio use bluetooth. It's to do with the way the data is transferred at least with iPhones it's the case, using a cable compresses it more and reduces the quality but bluetooth compresses it less.
It is a golf though so I wouldn't be expecting too much in terms of sound.
