Hi
Does anyone with a TCR know if these vents go anywhere?
They look to angled to the outside to feed the brakes but I could be wrong. Do they bleed air out through the little slot in the wheel arch liner?

Yes, they feed throgh the slots in the wheelarch liners.

Thanks Watts,
Not sure if I'm correct but my understanding of that kind of duct and purpose in the liner is to provide an air 'curtain' past the outside of the wheel due to the turbulence coming from the wheel and help with fuel efficiency. Certainly looks the part, but don't think I will ditch the lights for it, as I was hoping for a purposeful brake duct.

Unfortunately the duct doesn’t head towards the brakes, it is indeed an aero thing not a cooling thing. I guess it might cool the tyres!
A lot of EV’s have a similar duct.

yeah its not very TCR is it?
BMW's have it behind the wheel arch before the front door to evac the air from the arch.
Anyway it was a nice idea and looks better than the fogs imo.

This should help understand the part better. It's more a feature of aerodynamics than cooling.

Thanks very much.
Always interesting to see these things close up
