Title: anyone with etka help if you can :d

i need to replace the metal coolant pipe on an 8v pb(digifant) if anyone knows if vw still do it or anywhere that does can you let me know as mine has rotted in the middle and sprung a leak, at the moment it only leaks when under pressure but its not goner last much longer :S

(btw its the metal pipe that goes from right side of engine round and under the oil cooler/filter housing)

got a fair bit of work for myself lol need to do the thermostat the rocker cover gasket and sort the side light wiring out :S

Ah that shouldn't take you too long. That pipe can be a bit of a swine but not too bad. Don't forget some anti-freeze too :wink:

Buy both of the plastic flanges that attach to the front & side of the block while you're going to be draining out all your coolant, might be a good time to give it all a good flush through with a hosepipe too :)

it had a good flush the matrix went lol and i couldnt get it to heat up when i replaced it must have drained it about 6 times :S dam valve was backwards lmao but im not too sure what your talking about with the plastic flanges but the hosepipe flush sounds messy :P

yer rich i ordered a 5 litre thingy of anti freeze :D

I'm talkin about the one at the front of the block with the temp senders in, it joins to the top radiator hose, and the one on the right side which connects to the heater matrix feed hose.  These are prone to leaking and are dirt cheap to buy so defo worth replacing while you're draining the coolant.

ah ok i got ya if anyone knows the the gsf item code would be helpful or the vw part number :D
