Hi all
Hoping to join the ranks soon, still a prospective owner of a mk5 gti..
Have upto £5k to spend on the right car.. what’s considered high mileage on a gti?.. I’m seeing alot with over 130k… what should I be looking to settle for with £5k?
I’m sure I’m going to have lots of questions, so I apologise in advance! 😁

Welcome Liam
GTI’s are built to be enjoyed so many will have amassed plenty of miles as they’re such well built and practical fun hatches. Go for one that has been fastidiously maintained rather than a low mileage car.
They’re getting old now so plenty have gone rusty and will have things like worn bushings and bodged repairs, lots have climate control that has given up the ghost.
Buy wisely from someone who properly cares about their car.
