Title: Aluminium subframe

Hi guys I just looked under my new gti I picked up 2020 69 plate pp and it has the aluminium subframe , is this right?? Thanks

I thought the GTI/PP/TCR/Clubsport had the standard steel subframe, only the clubsport S had the aluminium frame.

Yes the later mk7.5's GTI have an Aluminium front subframe, no rusty subframe worries  :whistle:

I looked under a 20 plate, red PP for sale at my local main dealers 2 weeks ago and it was aluminium

I thought it was odd when I was looking , first fault someone has changed the subframe . Suppose this is a win . I wonder what year was the change over??

On the TCR I'm pretty sure they changed over with the updates so 69 plate cars. Mine is a May 19 car and doesn't have it.

I wonder why they made the change before the mk8.
