Hi
My mk6 has a tyre pressure sensor warning light on the dash, tried to reset via button in glovebox but to no avail, it’s a 2010 with factory 18” monzas.
Any suggestions?

Not really helpful but I seem to have the opposite problem. The tyre pressure warning light doesn't come on at all for me. I had tyres below 16 psi and the computer didn't pick it up 😵💫

The problem is it doesn’t beep no matter what you do
-
So with ignition on, not driving, holding down the button for a few seconds doesn't cause a reset beep?
-
Nothing, no beep, light stays on engine running or not.
-
If its not resetting by holding down for ages then there maybe a fault. It can also be reset using VCDS if you can find someone local with a cable.
-
How would I get a diagnosis?
Could it be a sensor in one of the wheels or do they not work like that?
-
No sensors in the wheels. It works by rolling diameter by looking at the signals from the ABS sensors and seeing what difference there is.
-
Right, no abs lights on though.
-
Could it be the reset switch? Worth checking the wiring to the switch.
-
Reset switch seems to be all ok, will it have to be plugged in?
