Title: New member saying Hi!
Post by: Mileymk6 on 04 July 2022, 10:22
Morning all

Back in the GTI fold following an absence.
Got a new to me mk6 3 dr in what I understand is graphite blue.
It’s my 4 th GTI following a 1988 mk2 16v, 2005 3dr dsg and a 2005 5 door.

Thanks.

Welcome. Looks a great car. Monza shadows really suit the mk6 IMHO.

Thanks

I should explain my username is because it’s high miles, not because I am called Miley. Don’t think the wife would be too impressed.

To be honest I am undecided as not really a fan of polished wheels, thinking about a set of ED 35 wheels but they seem to be quite rare

Hey, we don’t judge here, you can be a Miley if you want to be!

Just kidding. I’d guessed the name was for the car but didn’t make the connection to actual miles, I like your thinking though.
With forums it’s best to never be presumptuous about other people’s user names. Sometimes the car is the link, sometimes a first name, sometimes a surname, or a nickname, or very often it’s a case of registering for a forum and getting to the user name box only to find your mind has gone blank. Then it’s just a random word that pops into your head with a “yeah, that’ll do”
