My drivers side side bolster on the seat is ripped and sewn badly, looks a bit crap.
I can't afford re upholstering. Any recomendations on some quality nice fitted seat covers ?

I don’t have any recommendations (sorry ) but because of the quite heavily bolstered design of the mk6 GTI seats, I think you may struggle to find any that are a really good fit. Most that I’ve seen look a little like someone’s attempted to get a bin liner to fit the contours of the seats and they’ve failed miserably.
The other option would be to get a set of covers custom made, but they’d be expensive - probably more expensive than getting the worn bolster reupholstered.

I agree with SRGTD that you are unlikely to find decent fit seat covers. Tried when my mk6 was new too protect the seats. Worth getting a price to just get the bolster sorted?

I don't know if this will work due to airbags, but to repair the drivers seat on my Mk2, I bought a passenger seat from a 5 door (no tilt lever hole that would be on the wrong side for a 3 door) and had a trimmer swap the foam and covers for me.
