Title: Which SD cards does 2018 Golf media player take?
Post by: jaygolfgti on 14 June 2022, 18:36
I have Golf Performance 2018 and I realised recently it has a CD player in glove box! It has SD slots too! Which SD cards does it take? I want to order one and load it with songs :D

Does it use one of the Sd card slots for the Sat Nav or does it have Discovery Pro which uses the fitted hard drive? I know the supplied VW 16Gb card is normally used for those with Discovery media, for the Sat Nav maps. I am not sure if any SD card can be used for music as I have never used it. This has been a thread before, someone who knows more than I do will answer you.

Regular size (top) SD card is advised by VW, although people use micro SD cards with adapters.

If your car has an SD card for maps it has to be the original VW supplied card.

Music, i think any make is fine, I have a Samsung one.

I used a 32GB micro SD in an adapter no problem.
