Title: Engine compartment cover recall

Has anyone had a letter from VW about the engine covers potentially coming loose and causing damage/fire?
Vw say the new covers aren’t yet available 🙄but in the interim remove the cover (if its loose)
I have a MK8 GTI & the cover seems fine & secure. I’ve tried ringing vw to find out how long the wait is for the replacement cover but getting no reply, has anyone else heard how long it may be ?
