Hi all, I have just been playing around with Carista as I wanted to disable the stat/stop system. That has worked nicely.
I have also spotted a setting for the throttle response behaviour. You can change between Gradual, controlled by time and Direct, controlled by threshold.
I have tried changing between but not noticed much difference, what is it supposed to change?
Also are there any other things that are recommended to be changed whilst i have my 1 month subscription.
Many thanks

Hi Symon,
On Vag-Com it's just controlled by time or direct, time is there's a delay (3 seconds from memory) from when you put the foot down before the rpm increase, the direct setting removes this. If you're flooring the pedal until it clicks this is why you wouldn't notice any difference as the click overrides the time setting.
Only other thing I changed on my car was Soundaktor (fake engine noise played through speakers) down to 0%

Sorry I can't believe that's there is a three second delay from touching my pedal to an increase in speed, that seems a realllllly long time.
-
There isn't a 3 second delay, I tried both settings and couldn't tell any difference.
Having said that I cannot really tell any difference between Normal, eco and Sport modes either except for soundaktor noise.
I may leave the soundaktor as it is, in individual I have basically got the same settings as in Sport, but soundaktor set to eco, so I cannot hear it. If I want engine noise I can always switch to sport.
On the better half's car (Alfa Giulietta) there is a huge difference between the driving modes. Not so on the Golf.

Don’t know about carista but obd11 has 2 settings for throttle behaviour- standard and “ responsive “.
Changed mine to responsive which did make a subtle but noticeable difference to response
-
Isn't that going to just be "sport mode" throttle mapping? Like you pressed the button to be in sport mode...

I’ve set mine up in individual to “sport” on everything but engine sound- and I noticed a difference when I changed the setting on obd11.
There isn’t a “ throttle response” setting in my driving mode menu, though there is “ drive”, with settings of normal, sport and eco. No idea what this does, but mine’s always been set to sport.
