Hi
Is there anyway of getting Apple CarPlay on my 2016 mk7 without having to pay the exorbitant price of £200+ to the dealer for a “code”.

I don’t think so. It might be worth speaking to one or two companies that specialist in VW retrofits though to see what - if any - alternative options there are.

Be aware that not all MIB2 infotainment units are CarPlay compatible (some of the early ones weren’t).

You can get Apple Carplay a lot cheaper than what a dealer charges. Guy up here in North East does it.
