Hello,
After being happy with the Golf 7.5 facelift R model for two years, I decided to buy the Golf 8 GTI.
The only problem I faced like everyone else was the delivery time, which is getting longer.
To receive a call from an authorized distributor on February 7, 2022, as they have the Golf 8 ordered in the system from May 2021, and that it can be reconfigured.
I immediately took that order and configured the GTI model based on that order.
Should the vehicle in that case go into production earlier because it was actually ordered long before the "order change"
The authorized dealer gave me a shorter period of 120 days.
This is the vehicle specification:
Front fog lights and light in
Panorama roof
IQ.LIGHT - LED matrix headlights incl. rear LED lights with dynamic direction indicator
Estoril 19
Rear camera
Thank you.

Welcome tarikfan
What country have you placed your order from out of interest?
Most VW factories have massively slowed down production even further in the last days along with many other marques for obvious reasons.
The wait period might well be shorter with getting an earlier build slot like you have but that wait might unfortunately increase significantly unless many interrelated events quickly change for the better which alas seems unlikely.

I ordered from Bosnia And Herzegovina.I heard from dealership that R’ s will be late because of this situation. So yes I will need replace car until all this is done

I don’t think it’s even as simple as keeping your order as simple as possible as regards to extras to use less semiconductors therefore getting it built quicker. I get the impression the wait is just a general list that is done in whatever order the factory deems, assuming the factory even stays open.

Agree on that.
