Hi guys i have just insured my car under my own name finally! After nearly 2 yrs of being under my mums name on cars i decided to be all legit and go under my own name. Being only 18 its costing £3400 and thats with me main driver and policy holder and mum second driver followed by my older sister as third. I even put it down to say i use it for work not for social use. I am with Admiral. Who are other Anni drivers insured with and has any had to claim. Thanks., Ollie

wouldn't it have been cheaper to say you DIDN'T use it for work. If you use it for work then you're on the roads more and deemed to have a greater risk of an accident. Well that's how I'd view it

That's crazy money...I enquired about putting my mum on my insurance so she could use it if her *cough* rover fecks up and they wanted an extra £100 for her to be on it!! With me girlfriend on it as a named driver it took it down by £80...very strange goings on at insurance companies...
Def change the bit about using it for work, that must be adding a bit on that you needn't be paying...that's only for if you have to use the car whilst your working..i think :undecided:
