Title: Full of petrol but showing 1/2?

I’ve just filled up after getting rather low (25 mile warning), and put 44 litres in, but digital dash showing as only half full? It’s a 2019 gti performance if that makes any difference? Does anyone have any ideas why this may be? Thankyou in advance……

If its still under warranty let VW sort it out.

I would imagine its probably the fuel sender unit in the tank playing up, but the sender unit (bottom pic) can be changed on its own without having to buy the whole fuel delivery unit (top pic) as it just unclips.(Pics are of a MK6 but essentially the same)

Much appreciated thankyou, yes still under warranty till September, I’ll call them today. Just thought I’d ask on here in case it was something simple

Good news.

I think the one i replaced had similar symptoms to you, relatively straightforward to do providing the tank is not full of fuel.
