Hi troops,
Just had my cobra resonated cat back fitted to the gti today and the drive home was brutal haha! The exhaust was a lot louder and than expected and I felt as if the whole car was vibrating with the loud booming noise! Has anyone got one on their car and will the noise calm down any after more miles? I wonder if it’s worth contacting cobra to see if they have a bigger resonator or something? Really don’t want to be £900 down by putting it back to stock but don’t know if I can put up with it all the time! Thanks very much George

It definitely won’t get quieter, if anything it will get deeper as the carbon layers up on the inside of the system.

TR Hamza on youtube fitted a Cobra resonated system, then a little later on fitted a larger resonator.
Have a look at these 2 videos :

Thanks for input guys! I’ll check the videos out! I suppose I’m just shocked at how loud it is

Cobra tend to be louder than other manufacturers such as Milltek or Powervalve
You could get an adapter for the standard system and uses the scorpion as a back box delete, other than that it's remove and sell up.
