Could be anything and you won't know for sure until you get it plugged in to diagnostics.

Any easy things I can do to try and clear my engine light which came on yesterday. Car seems to be driving normally.

Or am I best taking it to my local specialist which might be a good trial for when I move away from dealer servicing.

Thanks.

If it’s under warranty, dealer, if not, specialist - just don’t ignore it even if car is driving ok👍

Thanks Adam. Warranty ended in February unfortunately.

Indy Specialist it is then. As soon as my initial 3 year VW warranty expired, straight to local Specialist, cheaper labour rates and better work. Always good to talk with a GTI enthusiast that is actually working on your car rather than through a Service Receptionist who speaks to the Service Manager who speaks to the Service Tech.

In fairness to VW, I had zero issues with the Dealer, Land Rover were a nightmare at times.

Local garage have cleared the code for me free of charge which isn't the best solution but was the best they could do with vag com. VW specialist can't get me in until the 30th

West Midlands. Aiming to take it to Autotechnik as a precaution on the 30th.
