Title: GTI MK2 16V MK2 5 DR v 3DR STATS?

Hi I am new to the site and have just bought 1992 Mk2 5 door 16v. Are there any stats about production numbers of 5dr vs 3 door Big Bumper models from 1990 to 1992 please?
Also - Can anyone tell me if D928DNH is still on the road please. I bought it new in 1986? so this latest purchase is a trip into yesteryear for me and loving it!

D928DNH - not taxed since 1st Nov 1997

Think you will struggle to find out specific production numbers like that. You can use howmanyleft to give you some idea of numbers on the road in more recent years, eg https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/volkswagen_golf_gti_16v#!tax

Welcome to the forum.

Don’t know if there are any stats available on the number of 3 and 5 door mk2 GTI’s produced from 1990 - 1992. You might be able to find out how many were registered by year on www.howmanyleft.co.uk if the data goes back as far as the early 1990’s.

D928DNH Doesn’t appear to be on the road now. Tax was due in Nov 1997 and it wasn’t taxed and DVLA don’t hold any MOT information for it.
