Title: Exhausts...
Post by: Bazzer on 18 October 2005, 13:16
Hiya
I'm thinking about changing my back box cos it's pretty rough looking. The middle box looks ok so I'm not going to change that. After having a loud exhaust on my mk2 I do not want to ruin the car and my bl00dy ears, so I want something that looks good and is quiet...
I've heard lots about these jetex boxes being quiet and neat - anyone got any pics?
Did a quick search among the major brands - Magnex, Scorpion, Powerflow, Mongoose, Peco (Cough cough) but they never show you a pic of the car with it on!!
So come on, get your mk3 arses out!!

I had a supersprint on a beemer once, that was a good sound and quite quiet... Currently got a supersport on the golf at the moment (came with the car). Good sound, not raspy/nova like, not loud but build quality isn't impressive. Will be changing it for a supersprint when I can justify it.

Full system or just the backbox? Got a pic?

cool. Don't think I'll have a single exit though. Twin round, slash cut, mk4 Turbo stylee.....

I've got a Magnex twin on my blue colour concept. Its got a really nice sound and is not that loud. I'll upload a pic of the car tomorrow morning for you. Its a full system but I know you can get the back box alone

i have a blue colour concept with a sebring twin back box.

its loud but that maybe due to the fact that i cracked the centre on a bump (!)

i get you a pic tomorrow. and let you know how it sounds.

p.s. im taking the centre box off and putting a straight through on which will only make it louder.

mines a magnex twin round, looks great and has a lovely sound at 2k revs (town speeds) but is not boy-racer loud at all. I thought it was too quiet at first, but now I'm used to it would highly recommend it.
