End of last year I sold my much loved Mk7 Clubsport Edition 40, turns out it was one if those cars I regret selling! If the owner is on here, hopefully your enjoying it as much as I did! Let us know
I sold the car to Ed@APS, here is the link to the original advert if anyone is interested ;

Lovely car with those very desirable bucket seats. I can understand why you have regrets about having sold it.
-
Absolutely gorgeous. I love those seats. I can see why you miss it too. What did you replace it with ?

Nice Clubsport.
IMO a Clubsport has to have the Recaros.
Not overly practical, as I find after having a Recaro bolster replaced in my 197, i tend to lift myself in and out as to not drag across the bolster.

Coincidental timing, but yesterday my phone flashed up one of those reminiscing ‘memories’ photos (as usual) and it happened to be from exactly 3 years ago, the day I moved out of my old house with my Clubsport loaded with crap parked outside.
Note the lowered suspension courtesy of my ancient Panny plasma TV and house stuff crammed in it!
It’s very rare I’m nostalgic about cars but damn I wish I’d kept that one.
No buckets though and no regrets it didn’t have them.

Honestly kick myself I sold it, didn't realise how much it meant to me until I had sold it! It was my 'Porsche 911 GT3'
Replaced with Mk8 R but didn't really like it so sold that and now have an Edition 45 on order, I think/hope this is as close to my Mk7 Edition 40...🤞🤞

Yes, they are a bit special. Had mine 4.5 years, the longest I've ever kept a car!

To safe, not enough driver enjoyment/engagement over a FWD hot hatch, having had Mk6 Edition 35, Mk7 Edition 40, Mk7 GTI PP and a Mk7.5 R, I felt I had to get back to a GTI.....Don't get me wrong, the R is a great every day car, but just didn't ignite the fire the same as the GTI models do...

Was it any worse than the 7.5 R? I don't mean the interface, because if that bothered you then you'd not have ordered a 45.

No, if anything dynamically I was a step on from the Mk7.5, but still didn't have the edge on a FWD hatch for me.
My Mk7.5 was a non OPF and had the Akrapovic factory fitted exhaust, it sounded the business....that and the interior quality I do miss over the Mk8s....

That regret will never go away. I'm the same with my old Edition 30.

This i why to my detriment i don't
sell anything and have a garage full of border line crap motorbikes
and still have my Mk7 which i love .
