Title: Best Independent for work on MK7 CSS
Post by: AGB on 05 September 2021, 20:54
Evening All

My CSS has been serviced throughout its life at VW main dealer but I'm just fed up with the poor attention to detail, lack lustre service and excessive charging. Also thinking I'll take the TCR out the main dealer network too.

I'm looking to undertake some upgrades on the CSS and would like a place where I trust them to do the geo properly. I'm based in the South East but fine to travel a reasonable distance.

Who are the most respected indies working on VW these days? Appreciate any recommendations.

Many thanks in advance

A

I think this would be too far for you but autotechnik in the West Midlands is a very good, reputable independent.
Used them once for my Seat- service was excellent.

VRS Performance in Northampton are excellent and provide routine servicing that will maintain the VW warranty on the TCR.  They are also well known for performance upgrades which to quote 'are carried out to a standard, not a cost' and have achieved some quite shocking results in terms of power output while preserving usability and reliability.

Thanks Yusee, a little far but appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Philip - they look good, think I have heard of them and they're just on my 100 mile cut off.

I was looking for an equivalent of JZM Porsche in Volkswagen as it were. If I ever sell the CSS, I don't want someone looking at the 'stamps in the log book' and going who?

How about JKM in Portsmouth, or Regal in Southampton

Thanks Paul. Both a bit far although I have a friend in Portsmouth who I'm seeing in a few weeks so the 3.5h drive might be a 2 for 1!
