Tyre discussions erupt regularly with Michelin v Goodyear v Continental v others being discussed over and over again. A tyre section on the forum would be very useful and keep everything in one place.

Thanks for the suggestion. I agree that it's one of those things discussed a lot but it's largely because there is no factual answer to the debate. I'm not sure there's really the demand for a whole section though, wouldn't it just be one thread with people saying Bridgestone's are the devil's tyres and PS4S increase their bedroom performance? :)

Thats basically the truth.
Open the section, put that as a sticky, lock the forum. Tyre debate done.

Some owners will already be very clued up, expert about many areas of GTI ownership.
Others not so much.
I know a thread on the VWROC forum where different Tyre types etc are discussed and any current Offers or Bargain buys can be shared with other owners. It can help an owner from being stung at the Tyre depot, for want if a little knowledge and pre planning preparation.
But this will be of little value to owners who already know lots of things about lots of things.

Jonathon on Tyrereviews YT channel produces very thorough, objective tyre tests of all manner or things sure to be of interest to many on here.
