Title: Replacing centre armrest...
Post by: VW_Golf_nut on 07 August 2021, 06:53
With the CS45 looking like it comes with a cloth armrest, I'm wondering how easy they are to replace as considering upgrading to a leather one....Anyone had any experience?

There are probably how to guides on the Internet to replace mk7 armrests and it’s basically the same item.

Sorry to hijack this thread but do you think the MK7 rear armrest will be the same for the MK8? It’s causes me nothing but issues with the kids as for some bizarre reason VW decided to have three different drink holders put in, instead of two of the same or the adjustable ones from previous models. Now only one of my kids can put there drinks bottle in as the other two are too small! I know really world problems. I’m wanting to just get the actual plastic part and replace that than the whole armrest.

Anybody done this?

Cheers in advance

How to guide - http://www.vwgolf.org/front_centre_armrest-807.html

Edit - actually that's for the MK7 but may well be pretty similar.
