Title: MK7.5 clearing the infotainment system
Post by: jf111 on 11 June 2021, 12:00
Hi,

I've agreed a sale of my TCR and want to remove my personal information from the in-car systems. Can anyone advise the best way to do this? I have already done some of it but I want to make sure I get rid of everything. I usually just plug my phone in and use Android Auto but the car must have other information stored in it.

Also should i be doing anything with We Connect to unlink the car for the next owner?

Thanks

Into the settings, hit factory reset.... it will nuke it all, sat nav, phones, radio stations, we connect...

In We Connect web portal, remove the car from your list of vehicles.

Don't forget to remove any SD cards you have in the glove box....except the satnav one if you don't have navpro.
