Happened to watch that at lunchtime (I think someone posted a link to it on another thread). Based on that (19" wheels and differing road conditions aside), the gap between the R and CS is a lot smaller than the gap between the CS and standard GTI. You'd need a good reason to buy the R over the CS. Looks, 4WD maybe.

Agreed
4WD is the main  major reason to choose the R over the CS
I ordered my GTI in September 2020  before the CS was opened for order otherwise I would have picked the CS myself but probably after the end of my 24 months lease I’ll buy a CS as a keeper for life  :grin: if if if the government in Germany decided to proceed with there EV plans

I can’t watch this chap’s videos.I think it’s some kind of spoof- that ridiculous accent and those gloves.
