any idea of how to allow video in motion on dvd for the pro nav unit 2014 cheers
-
You will need to modify the shutoff speed for video.
This can be done with VCP with VIM manager. Could do that for you but I'm roughly 1,000 miles away...
OBDEleven used to be able to do this with a built in app but reportedly this feature is being disabled.
-
I did it using OBD11 but didn’t know about the removal of that from the app.

VIM is still there as an app on ODB11, not sure if it works though :undecided:
Having read through trying to get the video to play is not straight forward unless you have mirror link as native app on an android phone as I believe the feature is disabled in Android Auto so I have not tried that yet (its also 100 credits!)

I’ve just cleared my errors and checked a few things and did look for this and as above it is still there and active. I activated mine just for the odd use with a DVD and it does work a treat.

Thanks for the conformation rajb, did you use the app or long code?
Have you tried mirror link or any other way to play from a phone etc?

I used the app as haven’t got the pro version for long coding.
Once I activated it I had to wait for the car to go to sleep after locking it and then it started working.
Haven’t tried the mirror link or playing from the phone but might give that a go as have seen the app for mirror link but wasn’t sure what it was.

Can't be done via coding/adaptation.
It's an EEPROM mod, app only or VCP/VIM manager.

Ok, great thanks for the heads up

I only have the standard Nav, but though I would see if a DVD would play, unfortunately not as I appear to only have a CD player.
I also tried Mirror Link, but for some reasons on the app page and into setting the Mirror Link option is grayed out! - Any Thoughts?

Use android auto. Vlc will work.

Thanks Fred, will give that a go
