Hi all
Came across this on the German version of AT - first for sale pictures of a Mk8 CS I’ve seen - looks pretty good to my eye
Hopefully the link works -Happy viewing

Agree. That’s the first mk8 Golf that I’ve seen that actually looks good IMO. Those ‘tusks’ in the front lower grille and the absence of front fog lights improves the front end significantly - small changes, but they make a big difference.
It just needs a set of wheels that aren’t diamond cut..........
-
That’s a great find. Thanks! Must say that I’m a fan of Kings Red and the CS but it’s not for me in that combo. Odd.
-
So that's where the Art Velours has gone...….
-
Moré I’m looking at this the more I’m liking and maybe that’s the one - agree about the wheels
This months car magazine has just landed this morning and very good write up on the R
Gets 5 stars their closing summary
" quantifiably quicker - awesome on B roads, on every kind of road it’s on a different level "
Think they liked it :smug:
Whatever one thinks about the looks - which I’m liking sounds like the new MK8 is going to be a very good platform.

Good find yan355, by far the nicest looking mk8 I’ve seen so far.
-
I guess a nice car to drive but with a crap interior and an exterior only a mother can love does no harm to Civic Type R sales.
Its not what people are used to with a VW though.
-
No still doesn't look good. Front end is just so depressing to see.

I don't think that colour works on it tbh. For me, metallic red isn't a "sporty" colour. It's more suited to an "SE" / luxury type of car. I think the CS works best in the light colours which contrast much better with the black details, i.e. white or that primer grey.

I agree. White or Moonstone would be my choices.

Reflex Silver for me!

I saw the GTI in the flesh today in Kings Red on 19’s. The car looked fantastic!

How does the CS look on 18s?

I can tell it would look great by those pics above

Always worth doing a search on AutoTrader website and you’ll probably find one. Here’s one with the standard 18” wheels and quite a few pictures of the car from different angles;

Like this. We went to look at it, having had a message from Harry to say whilst he was busy, the car would be in a place that we could have access to it

Drove to the coast with some friends ( so 3 x 7.5 GTi s ), the car is locked away in their compound, and Harry has deleted his offer from his Instagram page...
Oh, and despite being “busy all morning” we were the only ones in the showroom..
Won’t go there again..
Thanks for the heads up. I’ve had calls from Peter Cooper Hedge End asking me to come down and take a look at their clubsport, sounds like again Peter Cooper sales team not knowing what the hell they are doing

Thanks - I hadn't thought of looking on there...... Had a browse on interweb and they all seemed to be on 19s.

Clarky92, Hedge End is my local dealer. I know there is a little competition between the different Peter Cooper dealerships. I’ll try and get down there this week to have a nosey.

I've seen a KR GTI now.... not for me! Much too metallic burgundy.
